This temporary bureau aims to facilitate the marriage documentation process for travelers, allowing them to bypass a visit to the downtown office. This initiative marks the fifth occurrence of the clerk’s office establishing a satellite location at the airport. Clerk Lynn Marie Goya expressed the commitment to making the process as seamless as possible for couples, emphasizing that the pop-up bureau at the airport enhances convenience, providing couples with additional time to relish the excitement of Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve.

The pop-up Marriage License Bureau will be situated in Terminal 1 baggage claim, operational from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until New Year’s Eve. For couples preferring the downtown location, the main office at 201 E. Clark St. in Las Vegas remains open from 8 a.m. to midnight every day, including holidays.

New Year’s Eve is already recognized as one of Las Vegas’ most sought-after wedding dates, and the inclusion of the unique numerical sequence 1-2-3-1-2-3 adds an extra layer of significance, creating more reasons for couples to celebrate on this historic night.

Las Vegas typically experiences an influx of newlyweds during dates with distinctive numerical patterns. Notable instances include July 7, 2007, with 4,492 couples, and November 11, 2011, with 3,125 couples. Last year’s February 2, 2022, known as “Twosday,” witnessed 2,331 weddings, ranking as the sixth-most weddings on a single date in Las Vegas wedding history, according to the bureau.
