However, General Manager John Schneider mentioned on the pregame radio show that Smith experienced “a little aggravation” of the groin injury during practice this week.

Despite Smith being active, head coach Pete Carroll emphasized the value of Lock’s previous start with Seattle, describing it as “hugely valuable.” Carroll and Lock discussed the experience and its impact, with the coach noting that the challenging game provided Lock with a clearer mindset. Carroll expressed confidence that Lock’s resilience in the face of difficulties would benefit him if called upon again.

In his inaugural start for Seattle last week, Lock completed 22 out of 31 passes for 269 yards, contributing 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions to the game.
