Revving Up the Future: Unveiling the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV Trim Details and Pricing”
General Motors is Chevy Equinox EV undergoing a significant overhaul of its current and future electric vehicle deployment plans, facing production and delivery challenges with models like the electric Hummer, Cadillac Lyriq, and the Chevy Blazer E due to software issues. Despite these setbacks, the automaker is pressing ahead with its plans for the compact 2024 Chevy Equinox EV SUV. Updated range, packaging, and pricing details for all front-wheel drive trims have now been announced. Here’s a summary of what to expect with the Equinox E this year.
Chevy Equinox EV
When the upcoming Equinox E was initially introduced, Chevy promised the base model would deliver 210 horsepower, 242 lb-ft of torque, and an estimated 250 miles of range at a price of “around $30,000.” However, the latest update reveals that the 1LT trim will start at $34,995 (inclusive of destination and freight charges, excluding taxes). This pricing is for the base, front-wheel drive 1LT trim, and there is a possibility of a more expensive all-wheel drive 1LT version, although not explicitly mentioned.
In early 2024, Chevy announced a new launch edition of the Equinox E, exclusively available in grey or black with an option for a black contrasted roof, based on one of the RS trim configurations. Additional details about this edition are expected to be disclosed later this spring.
Chevy has confirmed that the front-wheel drive Chevy Equinox EV Equinox E trims will offer up to 319 miles of range. While there is speculation about a potentially lower-range, more affordable 1LT trim with a smaller battery capacity, no details have been provided yet. Battery capacity options for different configurations and the possibility of an AWD version for the 1LT trim remain unknown until the full model lineup is announced.
