AXA XL introduces cyber CUO for Americas

AXA XL has appointed Michelle Chia as Chief Underwriting Officer for cyber in the Americas, effective February 12. Based in New York, Chia will report to Donna Nadeau, Americas Chief Underwriting Officer. Nadeau expressed excitement about Chia joining the team, highlighting her expertise in the continuously evolving landscape of cyber threats.

AXA XL

In her new role, Chia will lead the growth strategy for the company’s cyber business in the Americas, working on expanding product and service offerings. She will collaborate with cyber experts across AXA entities, including global cyber Chief Underwriting Officer Anthony Dagostino.

Nadeau emphasized that Chia joins a talented and dynamic cyber team, led by Jeremy Gittler, the Head of Cyber and Technology in the Americas. Under Gittler’s leadership, AXA XL’s cyber insurance business has experienced growth.

Chia’s role is crucial as the company plans for further expansion, aiming to enhance products and services to bolster clients’ cyber resilience. With over 15 years of experience managing professional liability and cyber insurance portfolios, Chia comes to AXA  from Zurich North America, where she served as the Head of Professional Liability and Cyber.

AXA  recently extended access to the AXAL Ecosystem suite for North American clients across property-casualty and specialty insurance lines.
