“The Uncertainty Surrounding Tyson Fury’s Next Fight: A Promoter’s Perspective”
Tyson Fury’s promoter has acknowledged uncertainty regarding the fighter’s upcoming match against Oleksandr Usyk following his lackluster performance against Francis Ngannou.

Fury’s bout against Ngannou, a former Tyson Fury UFC champion, last October raised concerns after he was dropped during the fight, although he ultimately secured a points victory in Saudi Arabia. This led to the rescheduling of his undisputed clash with Usyk from December to February and subsequently to May 18 due to an injury sustained during sparring.
While Fury has visibly shed weight since his bout with Ngannou, his recent performance has left doubts lingering. Promoter Bob Arum expressed concern about Fury’s showing against Ngannou, describing it as “dreadful” and admitting uncertainty about which version of Fury will show up to face Usyk.
Arum explained, “I always felt that Fury was a big favorite in this fight because of his size and boxing ability. But I’m troubled with the way Tyson looked in his last fight with Ngannou. I thought he looked dreadful.” He pondered whether Fury’s lackluster performance was due to inadequate training or the physical toll of aging.
Despite the uncertainties, Arum emphasized the significance of the upcoming bout, envisioning it as a pivotal moment in heavyweight boxing history. “This is the fight of the ages,” Fury remarked, highlighting its magnitude as a clash between two undefeated world heavyweight champions competing for all the belts.
As the anticipation builds for the showdown between Fury and Usyk, boxing fans await eagerly to witness who will emerge victorious and claim the title of the best heavyweight of their era.
