Starting from March 11, select flights within the Emirates Airlines UAE will feature Ramadan meal boxes, showcasing light bites, sandwiches, and sweets that reflect the rich Emirati heritage of the Al Sadu weavers.
For passengers in First and Business Class lounges, a delectable array of Arabic mezze, lentil soup, mixed grill, chicken kabsa, desserts, and traditional Arabic sweets and pastries, such as tahina, baklawa, and various ice cream flavors, will be available.
Emirates lounges have dedicated prayer rooms and ablution facilities, providing a serene environment for worship.
Emirates employs a unique tool to calculate imsak and iftar timings based on sunrise and sunset times, using the aircraft’s longitude, latitude, and altitude. The captain will officially announce the iftar time when the sun sets.
Ramadan meal boxes will also be offered on flights catering to Umrah groups traveling to Jeddah and Madinah. Passengers are allowed to check in one bottle of Islamic holy water, ‘ZAMZAM,’ containing up to 5 liters per person at DXB and various airports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the Holy Month, Emirates ice will feature religious content, including Arabic and Urdu Ramadan Mah e Rehmat, Niyamat-E-Ramzan, Mahe Ramzan, and Ramzan Mehfil-E-Zikr. Additionally, popular series and dramas, along with AB Talks, Darb el Zalag, and Turkish dubbed series, will be available on ice.
