Over the course of her cancer journey, Robach underwent eight rounds of chemotherapy and breast reconstruction surgery, ultimately beating the illness in 2014. She has continued to live life to the fullest, engaging in activities such as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and running marathons. Robach’s journey has not only made her physically healthier but has also inspired her to challenge herself and embrace life fully.
In addition to her personal triumph over cancer, Robach has been involved in a publicized relationship with T.J. Holmes, with whom she ran the New York City Marathon in 2022 while they were colleagues on GMA3. Their relationship garnered attention when photos surfaced of them showing public displays of affection while still married to other people. As a result, they were placed on hiatus by ABC in December 2022 and officially left GMA3 in January.
Since then, T.J. Holmes has split from his wife, Marilee Fiebig, and finalized their divorce. Amy Robach was declared legally single in April, following her 10-year marriage to Andrew Shue, with whom she was a stepmother to his three sons.
Amy Robach’s story serves as a source of inspiration and resilience for those facing cancer, and she continues to raise awareness for breast cancer and support others in their battles against the disease.
